As we age, cholesterol, calcium and other minerals are deposited along the walls of our blood vessels, slowly obstructing them over time. Ignoring this process, which affects all of us, can have dangerous consequences; the longer these substances are allowed to build up, the less the guarantee that the body’s organs are receiving a sufficient supply of oxygen.
This process of induration and obstruction of the blood vessels affects not only individual sections of the vascular system but the body as a whole. When the coronary vessels are obstructed with these deposits, also known as plaques, it only follows that the vessels in the brain, kidneys, lungs and all other organs are also affected to a similar extent.
What also makes this process so dangerous is the fact that it is a «silent» process that affects the body as a whole and is often only discovered after the damage has already occurred. Thanks to chelation therapy with Chelatin®, this harmful buildup of plaques can be both addressed and largely prevented.
As has been shown in many studies, EDTA chelation therapy can successfully remove plaques from the walls of vessels and promote healthy blood flow – often even in progressed cases. Addressing the plaques allows the blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients, to reach and fill up the body’s cells. In this way, optimal function is restored.
The chemical structure of EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is that of a weak acid which, together with metal ions, forms so-called chelates – particularly stable complexes composed of metals and organic compounds. During World War II, workers who worked in battery factories or with lead-containing paints and who developed symptoms of lead poisoning were given EDTA.
In that particular situation, through the formation of chelates, the poisonous lead was removed from the workers’ bodies via the kidneys. But much more surprising was the fact that the therapy resulted in a significant improvement in the symptoms of many workers who suffered from cardiovascular concerns.
The mechanism of chelate formation is not yet fully understood and the processes involved are very complex. To simplify, one could say that EDTA removes undesired calcium and other minerals which are conducive to the formation of plaques, and eliminates them through the kidneys.
Chelation therapy with EDTA has often been compared to a milling machine eating its way through blocked pipes and freeing them up again. However, this comparison is only partly correct: A milling machine would remove the plaques but would also damage healthy tissue. A better comparison would be to a liquid decalcifier: With repeated administration, the deposits are simply dissolved. In the same way, harmful toxins are also removed from the body.
Unhealthy plaque deposits: Oral chelation therapy is primarily suited for protecting against complications caused by unhealthy plaque buildup; in short, it helps maintain healthy blood pressure within normal ranges, promotes healthy concentration and encourages healthy blood flow throughout the body. EDTA is the «insurance policy» for the blood vessels, as it helps protect against the accumulation of plaques, preserving optimal cardiovascular health. Even younger people can profit from this since the formation of plaques begins very early in life and continues inexorably. Furthermore, EDTA can encourage the healthy functioning of all organs in whose vessels these unhealthy plaques are present. In this way, the symptoms of many age-related health concerns may be alleviated and premature aging discouraged. The preservation of healthy blood flow to the brain also promotes healthy concentration.
EDTA helps flush toxins from the blood: Studies have shown that, due to environmental pollution, our bodies store increasing levels of toxic heavy metals as we age. The accumulation of these toxins increases the risk of vascular diseases.
It has also been shown that the lower the levels of heavy metals in the body, the better one feels. For more than 50 years, EDTA has been the remedy of choice to treat not only acute lead poisoning but also mercury, aluminum and cadmium toxicity.
EDTA promotes healthy blood flow because it binds to calcium, and calcium is necessary for blood coagulation. Discouraging unhealthy blood coagulation may help protect against impeded blood flow to the brain, lungs and heart, venous thromboses and varicose veins; the best-known drug worldwide, aspirin, acts according to the same principle.
EDTA promotes bone health and helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels within normal ranges by supporting healthy calcium and cholesterol metabolism. If calcium levels are kept at an ideal level by EDTA, parathormone, a hormone of the parathyroid gland that replenishes calcium stores and encourages their accumulation in bone tissue, is activated. This can help promote optimum bone strength and density.
EDTA supports healthy, firm skin. One side effect that has been repeatedly noted after intravenous administration is the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles associated with age.
