BASIC FACTS
The most central and important detoxification organ of the human body is the liver. No other organ has to deal with so many harmful substances day by day than the liver. It is therefore no surprise that a high percentage of Central Europeans develops hepatic diseases.
In this part of the world, the excessive consumption of alcohol puts great stress on the liver. But there is also a multitude of other toxins which can damage the liver. Among them are a number of medications and toxic substances (e.g. acetaminophen, chemicals) which contribute to the development of various forms of liver damage.
Almost phenomenally favorable effects on the liver were described after the use of a specific combination of active ingredients which is available under the trade name Liverxin®. This is a unique combination of liver hydrolysate, amino acids, niacin, vitamin B12, choline, inositol and cysteine. By taking this mix of substances, hepatotoxic effects due to various causes can be prevented or decisively improved.

EFFECTS
Liverxin® helps degrading alcohol. The most important co-enzymes when degrading alcohol, numerous medications and toxins are NADPH and NADH, which play an important role in the chemical reduction of the respective metabolites. It is a special advantage of the active-ingredient combinations contained in Liverxin®, namely liver hydrolysate, amino acids, vitamin B12 and niacin, that the intake of the preparation increases the production both of NADPH and NADH. Altogether, this helps relieve the stress on the liver caused by acetaldehyde and other toxins, and therefore Liverxin® can protect the liver against numerous hepatotoxic influences.
Liverxin® speeds up detoxification. Cysteine, which is contained in Liverxin®, has essentially two functions. The first important function of cysteine is to form glutathione in the liver cells. This is the key substance of a further important hepatic detoxification system by which a great variety of harmful substances and products of metabolism are conjugated and thus deactivated. The second important function of cysteine is that it combines with lactic acid, a substance that is toxic for the entire metabolism and also leads to a damaging of liver cells. By combining, cysteine and lactic acid form pyruvic acid (pyruvate) which, as an intermediate of sugar utilization, can once again be made available to the metabolism.
Liverxin® supports the regeneration of the liver. Liverxin® also contains the substances inositol and choline, i.e. subfractions of the phosphoglycerides that build up the membranes of the liver cells. Together with other molecular structures, these substances build up sphingomyeline, the main constituent of the membranes of the liver cells. By regularly taking Liverxin®, the liver can be provided with important membrane-building materials, which can prevent further damage on a cellular level.
INDICATIONS
The combination of the active ingredients contained in Liverxin® prevents the formation of acetaldehyde and thus hepatotoxic effects. Liverxin® is, therefore, successfully used in all situations that put increased stress on the liver. This applies in particular when patients have to take a hepatotoxic combination of pharmaceutical drugs in treatment of a disease, for instance. In practice, liver damage is diagnosed on account of the increase of certain liver enzymes in the blood (GOT, GPT, gamma-GT).
Moreover, the use of Liverxin® also makes sense if the damaging of liver cells by formation of acetaldehyde due to excess alcohol intake is to be avoided. Recent studies have also shown that the intake of Liverxin® in the course of a rich meal reduces the degradation stress of the liver. By doing so, a pronounced sensation of fullness can be avoided, the liver is assisted in its detoxifying activity, and also the hepatic cell regeneration can be supported effectively and safely in this way.

SIDE EFFECTS / CONTRAINDICATIONS
No negative side effects are known to be caused by Liverxin®.
INSTRUCTIONS
Even today it is practically not possible to treat diseases of the liver. Often the only thing modern medicine can do is to advise the patients concerned to allow their sick organ to recover (first of all to avoid drinking alcohol) and to enhance the blood supply of the liver by spending a lot of time in a lying position. At best one can resort to plant-based medicines (milk thistle extract). Due to its manifold effects, the intake of Liverxin® can be of help in a number of liver dysfunctions and relieve the complaints.
Generally, self-medication without the supervision of a doctor should be avoided and a specialist should be consulted before intake. Pregnant and lactating women or persons who are under constant medical care should consult a doctor before using the preparation.
